What Will I Study?

The Financial Analytics program prepares graduates to bring statistical and programming skills to today's technology-intensive finance industry. In addition to mastering corporate finance, students will learn today's most relevant tools, along with techniques used by the world's largest financial institutions - such as JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and Bank of America - to make financially strategic decisions with programming languages like Python, SAS, R and SQL. No prior experience in finance or business analytics is required for entry into this program.

Enterprise Architecture

The Dallas Master of Science in Financial Analytics is a 42-hour program comprising 12 classes that help students develop the tools they need for a career in financial analytics. No GMAT or GRE is required for admission. For the typical working professional taking two classes per semester, the M.S. in Financial Analytics program can be completed in about 2-3 years. Up to 75 percent of classes can be completed online.

In addition, the M.S. in Financial Analytics is part of the STEM-designated degree programs that qualify international graduates for an optional practical training (OPT) extension of 24 months, for a total of 36 months.

The University of Dallas M.S. Financial Analytics Program is affiliated with the CFA Institute and prepares students to take the CFA Level 1 exam and seek to obtain the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation. This designation is achieved by passing a series of three rigorous exams adhering to code of ethics and standards of practice observed by the CFA Institute. The University of Dallas' M.S.
