In order for your scholarship to be applied toward your tuition charges for the aid year, please accept your scholarship and the conditions listed below. Please note that academic scholarships apply only to fall and spring semesters; they do not apply to summer sessions including Mayterm. Full tuition scholarships cover up to 18 credit hours each for the fall and spring semesters.
Students must show that they have maintained full-time academic status each semester, enrolling in a minimum 12 credits each semester.
In addition, students must always meet Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements and must not be on financial aid suspension at the end of any term.
At the end of a student's sophomore (or second) year at UD, a 2.5 cumulative GPA is required in order to remain eligible for all merit scholarships. If a student does not meet the 2.5 cumulative GPA by the end of four semesters, the affected award(s) will be suspended or adjusted. For GPAs falling between 2.0 and 2.4999, awards are prorated at 50%.* For GPAs below 2.0, awards are suspended.
Students who lose their scholarships, either because of suspension status or for failing to meet the GPA requirement by the end of sophomore year, may appeal both loss of scholarship and loss of financial aid, as applicable.
